I would call them immediately Amazon typically would have no reason to need identification as nothing on it will be on your account I mean, they could say they want to verify your name or address but some people use alternate names and address anyway (such as myself) if amazon emailed me randomly wanting to send an id, i’d contact them and request a supervisor for clarification.
